Khai Doan is a pagoda of the Vietnamese living in Dak Lak Province.
It was reconstructed between 1951 and 1953, in an exceedingly massive open space in the town of Buon Ma Thuot. The pagoda’s architecture is in 3 character styles, with a three-entrance gate at the front. In the middle there's a central chamber and at the back, there's a house for worshipping ancestors.
The 3-entrance gate contains 2 floors with three arched doors, 7-m high and 10.5-m wide. The sanctum of Quan Am was made separately from the pagoda’s key structure, and has 6 sides describing cloud and dragon embellished pillars.
The central chamber contains 2 sections; the front is made in the long-house style of the Western Highlands, with the pillars and rafters of Vietnamese. The rear of the chamber was built in an trendy style.
