The marriage ceremony is hold by the bride's family and the groom should live together with his wife's family for many years before bringing his wife and kids to come home.
Culture
The Brau language is of the Mon-Khmer Group. The Brau wish to play gongs and ancient musical instruments. Especially, a collection of 2 gongs referred to as the chieng tha has great value in their culture. Young women usually play Krong place, a musical instrument that contains 5-7 bamboo tubes, each long and short, that are joined together. The sound is made when air is forced into them by the clapping of the hands.
Costumes
Ladies wear plenty of jewellery around their arms, ankles, and necks. Men often put on loincloths and women wear pagnes.
Economy
The Brau have led a nomadic life for a very long time, however conjointly observe slash-and-burn cultivation so as to grow rice, corn, and cassava using rudimentary tools.
