U Minh Ha Forest has suffered serious destruction throughout the 2 Viet Nam Wars from 1945 to 1975, however it survived and continued to revive itself, even following forest fires after the wars.
The center of U Minh Ha National Park is Vo Doi, where sturdy protection is provided for rare and valuable species listed within the Vietnam Red Book. Some of them are snakes, turtles, pythons, deer, wild boars and red-legged otters.
Local folks have developed many tourist attractions. Mr Tran Trung Quoc’s model is incredibly attention. In early 2001, he started raising fish, eels, snakes and turtles, all typical of U Minh Ha. Soon, monkeys and storks came to inhabit his land. He opened the place to tourists.
At first it had been solely a little tourist site with many mango trees, plum trees and a couple of tables where tourists may relax and have a cold drink or
something to eat. currently it has become a real tourist destination, together with a dozen huts, several fruit trees, well furnished rooms and sensible amenities.
Here, tourists will go fishing, stroll below fruit-laden trees, hear bird and luxuriate the fragrance of cajuput trees. Mr Le Van Qua attracts tourists with a special model. His land is massive, covering one hundred ten hectares. Tourists come back here to envision animals and flowers distinctive to the area, particularly freshwater animals.

nice tiny huts. Recognizing the tourism potential of U Minh Ha National Park, the native authorities are attending to expand tourist facilities whereas supplementing additional measures to protect the natural habitat.
At the same time, promotion of the park as a perfect destination for tourism has been intensified. it's hoped that U Minh Ha National Park can soon create itself widely referred to as a singular ecosystem of cajuput trees for tourists.
