A Ho Chi Minh City-based tour operator introduces a tour to the US for Vietnam travelers who are interested in hunting for real estate opportunities.
The Perfect Tour Travel Co. Ltd. is providing a combination tour to the US for Vietnamese travelers to buy a house there.
The one-week tour will take in San Francisco, San Jose, Los Angeles and Texas and cost around US$2,300 per person, half for traveling and half to inspect houses.
The tour firm working with American real estate agencies recommends good houses and cheap prices, and as well as provides Vietnamese travelers with legal advices and paperwork.
The company sends out a list of houses before the tour starts. Tourists can choose which houses they are interested in before they go.
The demand to buy houses in the U.S. has been increasing, especially since the economic crisis hit last year. Perfect Tour expects the tour will attract more travelers.
According to tour companies, demand for tours to the US is increasing, with more people now looking to visit the country for different purposes rather than just a holiday away from home.
Ho Chi Minh City-based tour operators have reported 50 to 100 bookings to the US every month, with Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Las Vegas being the most popular choices.
US tours cost more than US$2,000 per person, which is higher than to most Asian and Southeast Asian destinations.
But the country remains a popular destination for Vietnamese travelers because tours there are cheaper than other long-haul destinations like Europe, according to tour operators.
