Tra Su cajeput forest in Tien Bien district of the southern province of An Giang becomes a perfect eco-tourism site in the future when the provincial authority has determined to create the forest into a nature reserve.
The forest has been restored since 1983 with a current extension space of 700 hectares. This ecological spot is the habitat of the several genera of water birds (mostly storks), colonies of bats and numerous rare animal and kinds of bird. Especially, tourists are going to be flabbergasted by tiny houses on stilts with rudimentary bamboo ceilings that are firmly tightened to cajuput trees, creating an uncommon existence within the quiet atmosphere of the forest.
